Job requirements
Workplace is drug and alcohol free. Applicant must be drug free, and accept random testing requirements as a precondition for employment.
Services are provided to clients on a 24 hour, 365 day basis. All employment is shift work to include weekend and Holiday shifts, no exceptions.
An operator shall be required to demonstrate several basic skills including but not limited to:
Typing skills of at least 50 WPM.
Ability to speak, read, & write English fluently.
Bilingual with Spanish.
Punctuality and reliability in attendance, including personal transportation is essential.
Requirement to wear and work with telephone headset.
Ability to work with callers in crisis.
Ability to accurately coordinate job functions efficiently.
Ability to reason.
Vision acuity, to read computer screen and printed materials.
Interact positively with clients and fellow employees.
Professional tone and voice quality.
Ability to sit at workstation for periods of 4 hours or more duration.
Basic duties of an operator include, but are not limited to:
Answer calls in a pleasant and professional manner.
Accurately transcribe call information.
Dispatch calls according to an account’s written procedures.
Follow up on all dispatched and pending messages.
Any additional duties as delegated by Management.
The above constitutes the basic responsibilities of an introductory nature to the position of "telephone operator".
Graveyard Shift.
In order to advance to the graveyard position, an operator must accept the extra duties and responsibilities for that pay differential, and be able to be self directed to perform and complete duties to be provided.
***All staff are initially trained during normal business hours, daytime shifts, including weekends, for approximately 6 weeks, prior to transitioning to evening and graveyard positions. We do not hire exclusively graveyard positions. The position will be a 3/2 combination of swing/grave shifts. Please note, all shifts require the operator to be at our secure facility.
